Address parser
Paste a messy address line and see how it decomposes into USPS components. Runs locally — it tells you how the address is structured, not whether it exists.
Intelligent Mail barcode generator
The IMb is the current USPS standard and the only barcode that earns automation discounts. It encodes 31 digits: your Mailer ID, the services you are requesting, a serial number unique to the piece, and the routing code. An address alone is not enough — the other twenty digits identify you as the sender, and USPS assigns the Mailer ID.
Get a Mailer ID free through the USPS Business Customer Gateway. Do not use someone else's — mail sent under a Mailer ID is attributed to whoever owns it.
POSTNET barcode (legacy)
POSTNET was retired for automation discounts and replaced by the IMb above. It is here because plenty of internal systems never migrated and people still need to read old mail. It will not earn a discount today.
